Activism, Resistances and Alliances - The 5th Nordic Transgender Studies Network Conference
This two-day conference at Karlstad University has a specific focus on activism in relation to Trans Studies, and we would like to particularly encourage activists as well as academics working on activist issues to submit their suggestions for presentations. Presentations on for example grassroot activism, other radical activism, resarch on resistance and forms of protests, as well as broader notions of activism as well as academic activism are welcome. Additionally, we warmly welcome presentations that discuss further topics connected to Trans Studies. When forming the workshops, however, priority will be given to presentations engaging in questions of activism and related topics. We hope to create a specific discussion on activism, as well as a broader platform for the diversity of knowledge production in Trans Studies
